    Join us to network and hear about the latest apprenticeship developments and incentives for businesses in Gloucestershire.

    Learn how successful businesses of all sizes benefit from Apprentices.   Find out more about the range and diversity of Apprenticeships on offer in Gloucestershire and how you can get involved.

    An exhibition will run throughout the day giving you the opportunity to speak to someone from the team about Apprenticeships.  Buffet lunch is provided from 12.30-13.30.

    The day will start with coffee and networking at 11am.  Afterwards, there is a choice of seminars at 11.30: 

    • Higher Apprenticeships, Engineering  – Hear from Clive Arnold, GE Aerospace, Bishops Cleeve about their experiences piloting a new higher apprenticeship programme with Gloucestershire College and University of West of England.
    • Construction Apprenticeships, Gloucestershire County Council supply chain  – Andrew Jarvis, Head of Building Services, Asset Management & Property Services.  Andrew will lead a discussion on how apprenticeships can help supply chain partners demonstrate their commitment to providing added value and meeting essential quality standards.

    The South West Apprenticeship Company (SWAC)   O ffering a new innovative way of managing Apprenticeships, the SWAC is based on a successful Australian model.   It acts as the central point between Apprentice, Workplace and Training Provider, employing the apprentice directly in a similar way to a recruitment agency. This new system provides a low risk opportunity to all employers who have found it difficult to commit fully to an Apprentice.

    Financial Support For Employers.   Sign up for this session by the National Apprenticeship Service discussing the range of financial supportcurrently available to employers in Gloucestershire. Hear more about the recently announced £2,500 incentive for taking on a 16 or 17 year old and find out if your business is eligible.
