In general

• Are amiando's services free, and will they remain free in the future?
  Yes. Our basic service is and will remain free. The only services which will not be free will be the ones we have to pay for ourselves. So far this applies only to our ticket shop. However, amiando might charge fees for future premium services like mobile text messages.
• Do the participants of my event have to register with amiando in order to accept or decline the invitation?
  No. The participants do not have to register with amiando. However, participants that are not registered can not use some of amiando's features (e.g. uploading photos, message board entries, receiving messages).
• How can I delete my user account at amiando?
  You can delete your user account here. We would appreciate it if you could send a message to support@amiando.com to let us know why you deleted the user account.

Event site

• How can I delete an event I have created?
  If you are the event host, you can always delete the event site. All you need to do is click on 'Delete Event' in your event. PLEASE NOTE: all data related to your event (photos, message board entries, etc.) will be permanently deleted.
• Do I have access to the event site later at any time, or will it be deleted sometime?
  The event host and the participants will always have access to the event. As long as the event is not deleted by the host himself it remains accessible. Therefore the participant list, the photos and any comments of the participants will remain saved.

Extras

• How can I include the widget on a separate page?
  Copy the widget code and paste it into the relevant position on your own web site. Several variables allow you to change the widget's colour and shape.

Selling tickets

• How secure is my credit card and account information with amiando during transactions?
  amiando guarantees maximum security. All personal data as well as payment-related information will be transferred by a connection that is SSL-certificate-protected. Due to the coding technology your data can be transferred securely, and it is impossible for your data to be passed on to a third party. In addition, we guarantee that your data will be stored securely and handled confidentially. Your details will not be passed on to any third parties.
• As the event host, why does amiando need data about my bank account?
  We need data about your bank account in order to transfer the ticket revenues. The transfer is usually carried out by bank transfer.
• Can I also offer tickets with an early bird discount?
  Yes. Just add another ticket category, and create restrictions on price and time according to your preferences.
• As the event host, am I able to cancel tickets on the amiando web site?
  At the moment it is not possible to cancel tickets.
• How can I pay the service fees to amiando for online presale/ticket sale?
  The ticket revenues, minus the service fees charged by amiando, will be transferred directly to your account.
• Am I able to change the ticket categories later?
  Yes. If you have not sold any tickets yet, you have the option of changing a ticket category. If tickets have already been sold, you have the option of changing the number of tickets available or deactivating the ticket category. After deactivation, the ticket category will no longer be visible on the event site.
• As the event host, am I able to choose whether I or the participant has to pay the service fees?
  Yes. You can choose whether you or the ticket purchaser pays the service fees.
• What types of shipping are possible, and who pays for it?
  As the event host you have the option of sending your participants their tickets via e-mail (e-ticket) or regular mail. The participant will then choose between the defined options and will bear the costs if he/she prefers shipping by mail. E-ticket are sent at no charge.
• Which types of tickets does amiando offer? How can tickets be verified?
  amiando offers both e-tickets and paper tickets. Each ticket has a unique number. The number and the corresponding name of the ticket purchaser can be downloaded on our web site, allowing ticket numbers to be checked easily. amiando's safety feature(hologram)on paper tickets avoids any possible acts of forgery.

Purchasing tickets

• Can I return tickets to amiando if they were bought and paid for?
  No. Only the organiser can return tickets or refund purchases.
• Do I have to be registered with amiando to buy tickets?
  No. It is not necessary to be registered, although registration has the advantage that you can always check the tickets sold and the bills in your personal section, 'My amiando'.
• Are my credit card and account information secure with amiando?

• Will I receive an invoice for the tickets I have bought?
  Yes. The invoice will be sent to you together with the tickets by e-mail or mail. If you have an amiando member account, you can always access your invoice in your personal section, 'My amiando'.

Invitation e-mails

• Do the invitation e-mails for my event have to be sent via the amiando website?
  No. You may also use your own e-mail program to send the link to your event, or you can put it on another web site. However, if you send your invitation e-mails with amiando, it is much more convenient for the participants, since their e-mail addresses do not have to be verified again.
• My invitation e-mail from amiando was not received. Why?
  There might be various reasons:

  • The invitation e-mail of amiando might have been sent to the participant's spam e-mail folder.
  • The e-mail address of a participant might be incorrect or does not exist.
  • It happens rarely, but it may be possible that our server did not send the invitation e-mail at all. If you can exclude the first two reasons, please send the invitation e-mail again.
• Does the group of participants have to be finalised when sending the invitation e-mails?
  No. You may invite additional participants at any time. Just click on the link "Invite more participants" in the participant list.
